Freedom of Information

The CCLRC publications scheme

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 the CCLRC is obliged to adopt and maintain an Information Commissioner's approved Publication Scheme which specifies:
  • the classes of information it publishes or intends to publish
  • the manner in which the information is, or is intended to be, published; and
  • whether the material is, or is intended to be, made available to the public free of charge or on payment.

The CCLRC's Publication Scheme is in the form of this website which details the information that the CCLRC publishes at this point in time and intends to publish in the future. The Publication Scheme is subject to regular internal review and will be formally reviewed by the Information Commissioner in 2007.

The purpose of the Publication Scheme is to ensure that a large amount of information is readily available to members of the public, i.e. without the need for specific consideration under the Freedom of Information Act, and to inform the public of the extent of material that is available.

By readily available the CCLRC means that the information is available on this website, may be purchased from Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO), or may be supplied on receipt of a request to the CCLRC. Applications for information listed in the Publication Scheme as 'available on request' may be received verbally or in writing.
